Art for Life

I spend a number of years living in the Northern Territory, and i have always loved the beauty of aboriginal art. My parents have a number of beautiful art works and artifacts in there homes, that were given to them by the artist as gifts.

I have been looking online for a piece of art to add to our small collection and come upon these beautiful examples. While , i would prefer to have something painted for us by the artist, as there is so much more to art than just buying off the hook, i thought these might be some great inspiration !

Censational Playroom

I stumbled upon this playroom/games room by Censational Girl and fell in love. It is the perfect inspiration for my new playroom/media room.
While Earth tones are not my fave colours, i think this would work with a blue theme using the same map in tradtional map colours.

Sneak Peak....

The search continues for a new house. We have made an offer on a house that we both seem to like. It is a brick 1980's house , that has had a modern internal make-over. While it isn't ours yet, i do hope that it soon will be.
And , here is a little sneak peak.....

Knock It down and build it up !

We are considering buying an old decrepit house in a established suburb and knocking it down and building a modern queenslander.
We love homes built by Master Craftsman - Garth Chapman. We have seen a number of his houses and he is by far Queensland's best builder.

Camera Collector

I have a little collection of old camera's. It started many years ago , my dad had a beautiful SLR , that i secretly converted . I now browse online and antique shops. I love the look , i really don't care if they work or not.

So i was browsing on Jennifer Ramos's blog _ MadebyGirl, and i saw this beuatiful pic of a wonderful camera collection.
